Mike brings decades of marketing and communications counseling experience insight into every engagement from start-up/emerging businesses to Fortune 500 companies, non-profits and associations across a wide range of sectors and industries. He cut his teeth on the client side working with technology firms before moving to the agency world where he served as president of national marketing and public relations agencies and most recently in a leadership role with a U.S. division of an international agency.
A Virginia resident since 1990, Mike holds an MBA and a B.A. in public relations from the University of Dayton. He is the past chair and a current member of Virginia LISC Leadership Advisory Council, a two-time marketing chairperson for the United Way and a past board member of the Richmond Public Relations Association Chapter of PRSA. He has received the industry’s top national awards from PRSA and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), including PRSA’s Silver and Bronze Anvils and IABC’s Gold Quill for his work. He received the 2016 Richmond PRSA Thomas Jefferson Award for Excellence in Public Relations recognizing lifetime achievement.
